Financier Ramamurthy, has said that Simbu and his father T Rajendar threatened to kill him if he asked the money they owe him. Ramamurthy said that he lent 59 crores to T Rajendar during the making of Monisha En Monalisa but he repaid only 28 crores out of it. When the remaining sum was demanded, Simbu allegedly slapped Ramamurthy and threatened to murder him.

The financier has now filed a police complaint that his life is in danger and should anything happen to him, Simbu and his dad must be held responsible. He has also filed a legal suit against T Rajendar to recover the balance amount.
